- Manage and provide for an increasing staff compliment.
- Apply all legislative responsibilities.

- Oversee efficient and effective service delivery Corporate Services Department.
The Department provides financial, personnel and Information Technology services to the Council's main spending departments. The overall annual budget of the Council exceeds £8.5 million, and there are around 250 permanent staff on the payroll.
The following are the Department's primary functions:
Finance
The Finance section is responsible for:
Salaries/Wages for Council Employees
Debtors/Creditors
Invoicing customers & paying suppliers
Preparation of estimates in order to strike the District Rate
Financial Planning & Control, i.e. Management accounting
Treasury Management - Management of short-term and long-term cash flows for Council

Information TechnologyThe ICT section operates , mantains and troubleshoots any ICT related services throughout all the the council sites.The team is made up of Barry O'Hagan (ICT Manager) and Fred Greer (ICT Assistant).They are responsible for a Windows 2003 domain encompassing servers and a communication infrastructure which supports over 100 users based at various council facilities throughout the district including members notebooks.
