Registration of Food premises
All businesses which offer food for sale, are required to register with this department under Regulation (EC) Article 6(2) of 852/2004 on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs.
How Do I Register?
A suitable registration form should be completed and returned to this department. This registration gives such information as who is the manager of the business, where the Head Office is located, and what type of food activity the premises are involved in. It does not cost any money to register , ee below to apply online.
Summary
Any undertaking ( whether for profit or not, public or private) carrying out any activity related to any stage of production, processing and distribution of food must be registered with your the District Council.

You must provide specific contact information and food details for your premises .
Registration Summary
Food business operators should register their food business establishment with the appropriate District Council at least 28 days before food operations start. The District Council uses this information to draw a list of food establishments that have been registered in their area. Generally the food business will be contacted and/or visited within 28 days of receipt of registration.

Will Tacit Consent Apply?
Yes When a complete registration food business registration form is received the public register will be updated with the details of the newly registered business within 28 days. You can do this online, please click on the link below.
How do I change an existing registration ?You may change your registration details by completing a new food business registration form and submitting it to the District Council.
Failed Application Redress :Please contact your Local District Council in the first instance.
If a registration is suspended or canceled the registration holder may appeal to the council using the complaint procedure.
