How can I help?

My role is to address Anti Social Behaviour and the associated neighbourhood and environmental issues throughout the Cookstown District. It is the intention of the Council to placeemphasis on issues such as littering, graffiti/vandalism, alcohol and substance abuse and the promotion of good dog ownership.Awareness of these issues will be further developed through educational programmes delivered toprimary school children and interested community groups.

I will act as the point of contact between the Council, all local and community groups and any related interagency partnerships. My task will include recording, reporting and initial investigation of all nuisance activity affecting the health and safety of Cookstown residents. I will attend ResidentsAssociation meetings and offer practical advice and assistance.

I will deal with graffiti in public places, on council property, and under certain circumstances, graffiti on privately owned property that is visible from public areas. I shall arrange for its removal and possibly the application of anti graffiti paint.
