Upgrade of existing Pitch to 3G Synthetic

UPGRADE OF EXISTING GRASS PITCH TO 3G SYNTHETIC PITCH

Cookstown District Council seeks by competitive tender to appoint a Contractor for the above project.

Tenders are therefore invited from competent and experienced Civil Engineering/Sports Field Contractors for the construction of the above works.

The works involve the upgrade of an existing natural grass (sand mattress) gaelic sports pitch to a 3rd Generation synthetic pitch suitable for gaelic sports and rugby union.As such the new pitch must meet the requirements of the GAA Performance & Construction Standards for Synthetic Turf and the IRB Performance Specification for Artificial Surfaces for Rugby – Regulation 22.The pitch will also be used for recreational soccer.The works will also include floodlighting, fencing, paths and other minor civil engineering works.

Tenders will be assessed on a 50:50 quality:price basis and tenderers will be required to submit a quality submission as part of the completed tender.Only those Contractors who can demonstrate adequate financial resources and who have recent experience of the successful construction and completion of 3G synthetic sports pitches should apply.
