(word .doc, 241 kb)Cookstown District Council received approval from the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland on its revised Equality Scheme, on 28th March 2012. The Equality Scheme and Action Plan cover the period 2012 - 2015 and is the Council's commitment to meet the legislative requirements of Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act, 1998. In developing its Equality Scheme and Action Plan, the Council sought the views of a large number of consultees and also conducted an Audit of Inequalities.
