Each year the Arts and Cultural Development Department delivers the Arts and Culture Small Grants Scheme. This is designed to assist and support groups to participate in arts and cultural projects within their own organisation and within the Cookstown District.

Over the years funding has been given towards a diverse range of projects. There have been arts and music festivals, shows and performances, summer schools for children , workshops, demonstrations and talks, cultural visits and outings , the creation of small public art displays and exhibitions – the list goes on.

The call for applications is advertised publicly at the end of March and groups are invited to submit their request for funding for arts and cultural events in the incoming financial year.

The Scheme is currently open for applications.

Applications are invited from organisations/individuals from the Cookstown District requesting funding. A limited amount of £6000 has been allocated to the entire scheme.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon Friday 12 April 2013.

This will be the only public call for applications for the financial year 2013/14.

Please be advised that those organisations which have received Council funding through Good Relations Grant Aid, Community Festivals Grant Aid or Council’s Voluntary Body Scheme for the same project will not be eligible for consideration.
