The Community Services Unit operates out of Gortalowry House and its range of functions include:

- Cookstown LSP Good Relations Project
- Department of Social Development (DSD) Local Community Fund
Cookstown’s Community Services Unit has an open door policy so that everyone in the District (individuals, groups, businesses and farmers) can access support, advice and funding opportunities. The aim is to support our local community, be it for example in accessing funding or in promoting a healthier, safer, more community-orientated environment.
Grant-tracker is available. This is a database outlining availability and eligibility criteria for possible funding packages and deadlines for applications to be submitted.
Community Services staff are always ready and willing to assist clients who wish to make bids for funding from a wide range of sources.
