Oil Fuel Stamp Scheme

Cookstown Warmer Homes Group in conjunction with Cookstown District Council launched an oil stamp scheme on Monday 13th October 2008. The Oil Stamp Scheme helps householders who use oil central heating to budget and save effectively by spreading the cost of their heating oil.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Saving Your Stamps

  • Collect an oil stamp savings card from any participating retailer (please see back for list of retailers)
  • Complete the Name and Address section as soon as you receive your card. You should use the address the heating oil will be delivered to.
  • Purchase a £5 oil savings stamp or stamps from any participating retailer located across the district.
  • Place your oil savings stamp onto your oil savings card in the spaces numbered.

Purchasing Your Oil

·When you wish to purchase heating oil, contact your preferred oil supplier (from the list of participating oil suppliers on the back) and let them know the amount of oil you require and the value of stamps you have saved.

·A card, or a number of cards, can be used as payment towards your heating oil.Partly completed cards will be accepted.

·It is your responsibility to agree, with your chosen oil supplier, the price, delivery amount and payment method.

Only Cookstown District Council oil stamps and oil stamps that were purchased under the Cookstown St Vincent de Paul scheme will be accepted by Cookstown District Council.
