Lough Neagh Rescue Raft Race 2010
Inaugural Lough Neagh Rescue Raft Race
The first ever Lough Neagh Rescue Raft Race takes place on Firday 27th August 2010 at Ballyronan Marina from 6.30pm to late.
This fun filled evening is open to everyone and will include a Lough Neagh Rescue display, a BBQ and Disco, a Fireworks and Lights Display on the Boats and of course the main Raft Race Event, making it the perfect evening for the whole family!
The Raft Race itself is open to all businesses, schools, community, sporting groups etc and is the perfect opportunity to do some team building whilst raising money for your local charity. Each team will consist of 4 - 6 people and you are to build your own raft that will carry your weights and float! All entrees must be able to swim and be in good health.
Lough Neagh Rescue (www.loughneaghrescue.co.uk) is a voluntary organisation providing an independent rescue service for Lough Neagh and it’s navigable tributaries. Lough Neagh Rescue operates two frontline boats based at Ardboe & Kinnego with a support boat also based at Kinnego. All crew members are unpaid and give their time on a voluntary basis to answer the call of their pagers whenever a lifeboat is needed-day or night, 365 days a year. Monies raised from this event will go directly to Lough Neagh Rescue and will help maintain these much needed rescue services.

| The crew on the Raft all must be in good health and not suffer from any medical conditions that refrain them from taking part in the open water activity |
| The participants must be aged 18 years or over & be able to show proof that they can swim unassisted for a minimum of 100 meters |

| All rafts must be built with materials that will hold the weight of the crew |
| All rafts must be able to float on the water with the crews weight on board |
| All participants must wear a life jacket |
| All participants should be aware that the event takes place on open water |
