Cookstown Leisure Centre

Cookstown Leisure Centre is now one of Mid-Ulster's top leisure and sporting venues. It offers a range of the most up-to-date leisure facilities, coupled with a wide and varied range of activities.

  • Learner Pool (gradually goes to 1 m at deepest end)
  • 52 M Flume Slide
  • Health Suite (Steam Room, Sauna & Spa Pool)
  • Lifestyle Fitness Suite - One of N. Irelands leading fitness suites with over 60 stations of equipment
  • Ten Pin Bowling - 4 Bowling Lanes
  • Play Shack - interactive soft play area, divided into three age group sections for under 2's, under 4's and 4 - 11 year olds.
  • Sports Hall (32.5m x 25.6m) -  Can be booked for hosting sporting events, exhibitions etc. Also ideal for a range of activities including indoor football, volleyball, basketball, netball, badminton etc.

Activities - Summer 2010 Programme

Cookstown Leisure Centre has a full range of activities to suit everyone.  Our fitness classes include Spinning (beginners & advanced), Pilates (beginners & advanced), Aerobics, Circuit Training, Yoga, Boxercise (beginners & advanced), Aqua Aerobics and Fitball.  Various clubs which operate from the leisure centre include Cookstown Swimming Club, Badminton Club, Volleyball Club, Ju-jitsu Club, Tai Chi Club,  Netball Club, Helen O'Grady Drama Academy and 60+ Club.  To find out about the various activities available at Cookstown Leisure Centre please see our latest programme.

Swimming Pools

Cookstown Leisure Centre has a main 25 metre x 12.5 m pool, depth 1m - 1.9m, with a capacity of 120 persons and a kidney shaped learner pool, which at the shallow end you can walk into and is 1m at its deepest, with a capacity of 60 persons. There are water features in the pool.
 

Lifestyle Fitness Suite

One of Northern Ireland's leading fitness suites with 60 stations of equipment.  Qualified instructors are on hand to provide you with all the help and assistance you need to achieve your personal fitness goals.  Each piece of aerobic equipment has its own cardio theatre which enables you to listen to music or watch one of the 4 TV screens.

Ten Pin Bowling

One of Northern Ireland's top ten-pin bowling attractions with 4 lanes, the ideal venue for birthday parties, group or school parties.

Play Shack

This adventure play area is a great way to amuse the children offering tube slides, rollers, spinners, rope bridges, haunted house corner, scramble nets and much more.  It has separate play areas catering for the Under 2's, Under 4's and 4 -11 year olds.  It is ideal for birthday parties, and other group bookings.

Dance Machine Sessions

This multiplayer dance mat system offers up to 16 players a fun and challenging group exercise dance game.  It is simple to learn and exciting to play with 13 difficulty levels.  Not only do players benefit from a workout but repeated exercises can also improve concentration, focus and coordination.  Ideal for birthday parties, schools and other group bookings.  Public sessions are also available.
