Brown Bin Scheme
Brown bins are now in use through several built-up areas of the district including:
- Cookstown Town
- Moneymore
- Pomeroy
- Ballyronan
- Coagh
Organic garden waste such as grass cuttings and leaves etc are collected for composting
Materials not suitable for composting should NOT be placed into your brown bin.
Brown bins are emptied fortnightly from April to September and monthly from October to March inclusive. However, Council is reviewing this policy. Click on Latest News for any further developments.
Brown bins contaminated with unsuitable waste will NOT be emptied.
BROWN BINS ARE ISSUED TO EACH HOUSE AND SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THAT ADDRESS WHEN VACATING OR MOVING FROM THE PROPERTY.
