Dramatic landscapes, rivers teaming with life, mountains, valleys, forests, lakes, outdoor pursuits, indoor pursuits... welcome to the Sperrins. The Sperrins region is one of Northern Ireland’s most scenic regions. A rugged pattern of mountains, bogland and inland waters... a striking landscape virtually unaffected by the passage of time. Then there's the people of the Sperrins and their heritage and culture…even by Irish standards, we are renowned for our special warmth and hospitality.

Discover Lough Neagh www.discoverloughneagh.com

In the heart of Northern Ireland you will find Lough Neagh, the largest lake in the British Isles. Lough Neagh captivates visitors with its tranquil atmosphere, un-spoilt scenery, secluded bays and skyward views. Lough Neagh is a haven for wildlife with many viewpoints around the shoreline.  There is so much to see and do from history and heritage, visitor attractions to land and water based activities.  The Maid of Antrim is now back on the water for day trips and the Lough’s two main islands can also be explored on the Trostan and Island Warrior.  Why not come and explore the Lough Neagh Region for yourself!

Loughshore Trail Cycle Route  www.loughshoretrail.com

The Loughshore Trail is known as Route 94 of the National Cycle Network and is a bi-directional 113 mile cycle route that encircles Lough Neagh. Lough Neagh itself lies at the very heart of Mid- Ulster and is the ideal destination for a cycling break suitable for families and enthusiasts alike.  The Loughshore Trail is a unique cycleway, not only because of its location but because it uses quiet country lanes and consists of mainly flat terrain. As well as providing breathtaking views the trail also incorporates over 25 major sites of interest including marinas, nature reserves, parks and sites of archaeological interest. Many of the sites along the route host interpretation panels providing information about the Trail, local history and flora and fauna.

The trail will enable you to sample first hand the diverse culture and heritage of the Lough Neagh Region as well as allowing you to visit the natural and man made environment using the many miles of quiet lanes that run alongside or close to the shoreline.
