Diane McCormick Ceramics   (Vases, platters, bowls, clocks, teapots & pictures)

Diane McCormick’s acclaimed ceramic work is highly individual, distinctive, and beautifully executed.  She has undertaken large-scale ceramic artworks in hospitals across Northern Ireland, and a variety of other commissions, from work for family homes to shop fronts and award presentations.  She and her husband Martin make their ceramic and wood creations in an idyllic setting - an 1850s farmhouse overlooking Lough Neagh.  Diane uses a variety of hand-building and printing methods. The copper-rich glazes are fired in a carefully-controlled kiln atmosphere to create a deeply lustrous finish. Her inspiration - “colourful beetles, local birds, plants and seeds, architecture and humourous poetry.”
